bulizunk, budapest, alec, alec dean, dean, alexander, alexander dean, houston, texas, hungary, expatriate, american in budapest, budapest blog, in a nutshell… i was born in 1971 in austin, tx…. from the age of 4, i grew up in houston, tx where i attended st. john’s high school which is the school featured in the movie Rushmore… i spent my first year of college at ithaca college in ny… i then transferred to the university of texas where i spent two years partying my way right out of school… after leaving U.T., i spent a couple of years living with an exotic dancer (and a hell of a cool girl ) and working at a law firm as a mail clerk… after that fizzled out, i moved to houston and worked at a software company where, over a 3 year span, i advanced from receptionist to tech support to software trainer… i quit that job and started my own company… i borrowed 35 of my former employers clients and developed a quite successful business with alot of potential… but, entrepreneurship was way to much work for my hedonistic lifestyle, so i whored myself out to the highest bidder which took me to dallas for a posh job as an IT director for a small partnership… after a year there, i left to work for a big corporate nightmare company… i spent another year doing nothing in one of their cubicles… then my grandfather died and i came into some good fortune… i quit my job and partied for 6 months until i lost my driver’s license and had thoroughly bottomed out… then i started playing golf… i played every day for one year and got my handicap under 20… great game… and it goes great with golden tee too… another favorite of mine… then i decided that the u.s. was way to fucking boring and predictable, so i moved to europe… i’ve been here since march 2004… i currently live in budapest where i am learning hungarian and exploring surrounding countries… i live with my beautiful and talented hungarian girlfriend whom i plan to marry in 2006… i also plan to start two businesses in 2005: a tour business and a computer business, but who really knows… i pretty much take it one hour at a time… egészségedre! texan in hungary, golf in hungary, experience budapest, dezsan edit, edit and alec, travel to hungary, travel in budapest, budapest journal, life in hungary, life in budapest, golf in budapest, chronicles budapest, chronicles hungary
